Nuclear factors are the only elements that are in different cells and therefore can confer both temporal and spatial regulation of their target genes. Leptin hormone is made up mainly by the adipose cells and helps to regulate energy balance by inhibiting hunger. It regulates energy intake and fat stores such that the weight is maintained within a narrow range.
