I am thinking of a number, when I add 5 and multiply the answer by 2 I get 28. What is my number?

first, divide the number by 2
[tex]28 \div 2 = 14[/tex]
next, minus 5
[tex]14 - 5 = 9[/tex]
so the original number is 9 !!

The answer is 9 because 9+5=14. 14×2=28
