1. Integers numbers are defined as the set of numbers that is formed by Positive numbers (Also called "Natural numbers"), Negative numbers (They are less than zero) and zero (This has no sign). This set is represented with the letter "Z". Therefore: Z={...-2, -1, 0, 1, 2 ...}.

 2. Keeping this on mind, you have that the integer asked, is:

 - Twice the greatest negative integer: 2(-1)
 - Eight more than twice the greatest negative: 8+2(-1)

  3. Then:

 =8+2(-1)
 =8-2
 =6

 Therefore, the answer is: 6.
