The renewable resource that is currently set-up to provide the most energy is Solar Energy. Since the country has a typically hot climate, the state thought that this could be the nation's best energy potential. A lot of Solar Photovaltaic (PV) facilities have seen an increase in Mexico, as well as the increase in small-scale solar generation. Currently New Mexico is ranked 13th in the nation that installed solar capacity with 406 megawatts of power.
