This is simple. All you do is find a multiple of 6 and 8. Which is 24. So what times 8 is 24? Well 3 x 8 is 24 and what times 6 is 24? 4 x 6 is 24. So what ever you do to the bottom, you do to the top, so now the equation is 5/24 - 6/24. But we are not done. Now since we timed 6 by 4, to get 24 you times 5 x 4, which is 20. Then you times 3 x 6 because 8 x 3 is 24. So now it is 20/24 - 18/24 which is 2/24, which can be simplified into 1/12.
