For this type of problem we recall the formula for the slope (m) of a line passing through 2 points and substitute the given points:

[tex]m=\frac{y_1-y_2}{x_1-x_2}=\frac{2-1}{1-(-2)}=\frac{1}{3}[/tex]

Answer: m= 1/3.
