Rationing meant that more food was able to go to the military. Because of this they were well fed and able to fight.

The rationing of food helped the US to send food to England troops. Rationing The Fuel and oil to get war planes active and ships and vehicles. Also with the clothing manufactures to create shoes and uniforms for men in war.
