If it's 1/3 of an hour then we multiply it by 3 so 22.5 x 3 is 67.5

His average speed is 67 1/2 miles per hour. 22.5 in each 1/3 of an hour. So, multiply that by 3 and get 67 1/2 miles in each whole hour.
