So first you need to make 3/4 into eighths: 6/8
Then you need to subtract 6/8 from 7/8
There is a mistake on the paper: it should be 'What part of the yard did George rake?' But anyways......
So when you have subtracted it, you get 1/8.
George raked 1/8 of the yard.
