sound is not heard in space because there's no gas or air in space only vacuum exists. but gases and air found on earth that's why sound can be heard on earth.

Because sound needs a medium to travel. (like Solid, Liquid or Gas)

But it's only vacuum in space... So no medium for sound to vibrate particles
