Given:

Two numbers [tex]\dfrac{3}{4}[/tex] and 2.

To find:

How many [tex]\dfrac{3}{4}'s[/tex] are in 2.

Solution:

Let x be number of [tex]\dfrac{3}{4}'s[/tex] in 2.

[tex]\dfrac{3}{4}\times x=2[/tex]

Divide both sides by [tex]\dfrac{3}{4}[/tex].

[tex]x=\dfrac{2}{\dfrac{3}{4}}[/tex]

[tex]x=2\times \dfrac{4}{3}[/tex]

[tex]x=\dfrac{8}{3}[/tex]

Therefore, required multiplication equation is [tex]\dfrac{3}{4}\times x=2[/tex] and the required division equation is [tex]x=\dfrac{2}{\dfrac{3}{4}}[/tex].
