The Roosevelt Corollary differed from the Monroe Doctrine because the Monroe Doctrine was mainly about protecting independent nations within the Americas. The Roosevelt Corollary however was about America policing the Americas to remove wrongdoing in the Americas. It became an addition to the Monroe Doctrine.
