Answer:

a. saletax = 98.75

100

5 = 98.75

100 1

we cross multiple

5(1) = 100(98.75)

5 = 100(98.75)

divide both side by 5

5 = 100(98.75)

5 5

since 100 can divide 5 so we divide them

= 20(98.75)

amount sale tax = 1975

b. 98.75 × 5 =493.75$
