Let’s give total students a number. Let’s say there are 800 total students
Men = x
Women = 7x. ( 7 times more)
Together there are 8x students.( 7x + x)
We have 8 x = 800
Divide both sides by 8
X = 100
100 men
700 women
Now find the fraction which is number of women / total students = 700/800 = 7/8
7/8 of the students are women.
