f(x) = 2x + 1; Paren graph = x;

The graph was shifted one unit up and stretched 2 times.

g(x) = -8(x+4) - 1 = -8x - 32 - 1 = -8x - 33

The graph was shifted 33 units down and stretched 8 times and flipped 180 degrees.
