on June 1, 2013, the number of hours of daylight in Anchorage, Alaska was 18 1/4 hours. what was the number of hours without daylight?

ok if there is 24 hours in a day just do this 

24-18 1/4=5.87

so there were 5 3/4 of day like that was not there!
