Each shape has an integer in it. they're asking you to add the just the circles. It seems like you add 8 and -4 since they're both in the circle.

Sum is the answer to an addition problem.
The two integers in circles are 8 and -4.
Find the sum by adding them together.
8 + -4 = 4.
