Three coins are tossed. find the probability that two land on heads?

Each time a coin is tossed the probability it lands on heads is 1/2, and the same for tails.
So we multiply 1/2 and 1/2 for the times it lands on heads which gives 1/4. However we still have to multiply it by 1/2 again because the next one lands on tails, so 1/4 x 1/2 = 1/8
