Solve the equation by completing the square. x2 + 4x − 10 = 0

Move -10 under the zero which will be x2+4x=-10
Then divide 4x under -10 which will get you -2.5 then after that you’re left with x2 =-2.5x which the you’ll square root so you don’t have to worry about being confused with the x2
So square root both side and you’ll be left with x=2.5
