To find the area of a regular figure,the formula would be:

s^2(n)/4tan (180/n)

where
s  is the length of any side
n  is the number of sides

In this case:
12^2(6)/4tan (180/6)
=144/4tan(30)
=144/120tan
≈374.1 in^2 (correct to the nearest tenth)
